The foundation of my beliefs is the gospel of Jesus Christ—the remarkable truth that Jesus was crucified and raised from the dead, so that all who believe in Him can be reconciled to God (Romans 5:10, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4). This message shapes my life, driving my passion and purpose.
I believe in the Bible as the infallible Word of God, and I turn to it for guidance on what to believe, how to live, and how to function within the church (2 Timothy 3:16-17). The local church is central to God’s plan to reach people with the gospel, make disciples, and plant new churches (Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 2:42-47). All of this is meant to spread the gospel to people of all nations, ethnicities, and cultures. Additionally, I affirm the teachings of the Apostles’ and Nicene Creeds.
The Bible
I believe that the Bible, consisting of the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, is the written Word of God (2 Peter 1:20-21). It is the final authority for faith and life, leading us to salvation through Jesus Christ (Romans 1:16, 2 Timothy 3:15). It is fully inspired by God and without error in its original texts (Psalm 12:6, Proverbs 30:5). The Bible is the ultimate guide for Christian practice and must not be altered or supplemented by tradition or modern revelation (Deuteronomy 4:2, Revelation 22:18-19). Every teaching, lifestyle, and belief must align with Scripture to determine its truth.
The Trinity
I believe in one God who eternally exists as three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19). These three are coequal, coeternal, and fully God (Deuteronomy 6:4, John 1:1-3). God is infinite, holy, and perfect in truth and love (Isaiah 6:3, 1 John 4:8).
God the Father
I believe in God the Father, Creator of heaven and earth (Genesis 1:1, Isaiah 40:28). He made the universe and everything within it by His Word for His glory (Psalm 33:6). God sustains all things by His power and rules as sovereign over creation (Hebrews 1:3, Psalm 103:19). He is faithful to His promises and works all things for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28). In His grace, He sent His Son to save humanity from sin (John 3:16), and He created us to live in relationship with Him for His glory (Isaiah 43:7).
God the Son
I believe in Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary (Matthew 1:20-23, Luke 1:35). Jesus lived a sinless life, fully obedient to God, and is both fully God and fully man (John 1:14, Hebrews 4:15). He is the image of the invisible God and the firstborn over all creation (Colossians 1:15-16). Jesus is the only Savior for humanity, having died on the cross as a substitute for our sins (1 Peter 2:24, Isaiah 53:5-6). On the third day, He rose from the dead, defeating death and sin (Luke 24:6-7, 1 Corinthians 15:20). He ascended into heaven, where He intercedes for believers (Romans 8:34) and reigns as Lord over all (Philippians 2:9-11).
God the Holy Spirit
I believe in the Holy Spirit, who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8-11). He regenerates believers, giving them new life through faith in Christ (Titus 3:5). The Holy Spirit indwells believers, uniting them with Christ (Romans 8:9-11) and empowering them for Christian living (Galatians 5:22-23). He distributes spiritual gifts to build up the Church and carry out God’s work (1 Corinthians 12:4-7). Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to guide us into truth and to empower us for the mission of making disciples (John 14:16-17, Acts 1:8).
Humanity
I believe that God created humanity, male and female, in His image (Genesis 1:26-27). However, Adam and Eve fell into sin by rebelling against God, and as a result, all of humanity is born with a sinful nature and is separated from God (Romans 3:23, Genesis 3). Because of sin, humanity is under God’s judgment and incapable of returning to Him apart from His saving grace (Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:1-3).
The Gospel
I believe the gospel is the good news that Jesus Christ came to save sinners (1 Timothy 1:15). Through His life, death, and resurrection, He offers salvation to all who believe in Him (John 3:16, Romans 5:8-10). Jesus’ death on the cross was a substitutionary sacrifice, satisfying God’s justice and demonstrating His love (Romans 3:25-26, 1 John 4:10). Jesus is the only mediator between God and humanity (1 Timothy 2:5), and salvation can only be found in Him (Acts 4:12).
Election
I believe that before the creation of the world, God chose some people to be saved, not based on their merit, but according to His sovereign will (Ephesians 1:4-5, Romans 8:29-30). Those whom God has chosen will respond to His grace through repentance and faith when they hear the gospel (John 6:37, Acts 13:48). Regeneration is a work of God that brings new spiritual life to those who were spiritually dead (John 3:3-6, Ephesians 2:4-5).
Our Response
I believe that while salvation is based on God’s election, the gospel message is effective only for those who truly repent and place their faith in Jesus (Mark 1:15, Acts 16:31). Since I do not know who the elect are, I preach the gospel to all, desiring that all people come to Christ (Romans 10:13-14, 2 Peter 3:9). Genuine believers will live transformed lives and persevere in faith until the end (Matthew 24:13, Philippians 1:6).
Salvation
I believe that salvation is a free gift from God, received through faith in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9). When a person repents and believes in Jesus, they are justified by God, declared righteous, and adopted into His family (Romans 5:1, Galatians 4:4-7). Jesus’ righteousness is imputed to them, and they are forgiven of their sins (2 Corinthians 5:21, Colossians 2:13-14). Salvation brings freedom from sin and death and the hope of eternal life (Romans 6:22-23).
Sanctification
I believe that the Holy Spirit actively works to sanctify believers, transforming them into the image of Christ (2 Corinthians 3:18). Though Christians continue to struggle with sin, the Spirit leads them to live in a way that honors God (Galatians 5:16-17). Growth in holiness is encouraged by spiritual disciplines such as prayer, studying Scripture, and worship (1 Timothy 4:7, 2 Peter 3:18). Despite human weakness, believers are assured that God will preserve them in their faith (Jude 1:24-25, Philippians 1:6).
Empowered by the Spirit
In addition to regeneration and sanctification, I believe the Holy Spirit empowers believers for service and evangelism (Acts 1:8, 1 Corinthians 12:4-7). All Christians receive the Holy Spirit upon conversion, and He continues to fill and empower them throughout their lives (Ephesians 5:18, Romans 8:15-16). Believers are called to seek the fullness of the Holy Spirit, walking in obedience and using spiritual gifts to build up the Church and spread the gospel (1 Peter 4:10, 1 Corinthians 14:1).
The Church
I believe that Jesus Christ is building His Church, gathering believers from all nations (Matthew 16:18, Revelation 7:9-10). The Church is not merely a human institution but the body of Christ, composed of all who are saved by faith in Him (Ephesians 1:22-23, 1 Corinthians 12:12-13). The Church exists to glorify God through worship, preaching the gospel, and making disciples (Acts 2:42-47, Matthew 28:18-20). Local churches are vital communities where believers grow, serve, and live out their faith together (Hebrews 10:24-25).
Baptism and the Lord’s Supper
I believe in baptism as an act of obedience and public profession of faith in Christ, symbolizing the believer’s identification with Jesus in His death, burial, and resurrection (Romans 6:3-4, Matthew 28:19-20). The Lord’s Supper is a continual reminder of Christ’s sacrificial death, where believers partake of the bread and the cup in remembrance of Him (1 Corinthians 11:23-26). These ordinances serve as a sign of faith and fellowship within the body of Christ.
The Return of Jesus
I believe that Jesus Christ will return in power and glory at the end of time (Matthew 24:30, Acts 1:11). At His return, the dead will be raised, and everyone will stand before Him for judgment (2 Corinthians 5:10, Revelation 20:11-15). Those who belong to Christ will enter into eternal life in the new heavens and new earth, while those who have rejected Him will face eternal punishment (John 5:28-29, Revelation 21:1-4). Believers will experience everlasting joy in the presence of God, worshiping and serving Him forever (Revelation 22:3-5).
