Statement of Faith

What I believe and how I seek to live it out every day.

  1. The Authority of Scripture

What I Believe:
I believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God. It is fully trustworthy and completely sufficient for teaching, correction, guidance, and equipping every believer for life and ministry. The Bible reveals the character of God, the nature of humanity, and the way of salvation through Jesus Christ.

How I Live It Out:
I build my life, my ministry, and my relationships on the truth of Scripture. I study it daily, teach it faithfully, and encourage others to anchor their lives in God’s Word.

Scripture:
“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.” – 2 Timothy 3:16 (ESV)
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” – Psalm 119:105 (ESV)

  1. The Triune God

What I Believe:
I believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Father is the sovereign Creator; the Son, Jesus Christ, is fully God and fully man who redeems us by His life, death, and resurrection; the Holy Spirit indwells and empowers believers to live holy lives.

How I Live It Out:
I worship the Triune God daily and seek to know and obey Him through the power of the Spirit. I rely on His grace, follow Jesus as Lord, and live in gratitude for the Father’s love.

Scripture:
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” – Matthew 28:19 (ESV)

  1. The Fallen and Depraved State of Man

What I Believe:
I believe that all humanity is born into sin and separated from God. Because of the fall, every person is spiritually dead and incapable of saving themselves. Our greatest need is redemption through Jesus Christ.

How I Live It Out:
I live with humility, knowing I was lost and without hope apart from Christ. I extend grace to others, remembering that we all fall short and desperately need the mercy of God.

Scripture:
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” – Romans 3:23 (ESV)
“And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked…” – Ephesians 2:1 (ESV)

  1. Salvation by Grace Through Faith in Jesus Christ

What I Believe:
Salvation is a free gift of God’s grace, not something we can earn or deserve. It comes only through faith in Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose again, offering eternal life to all who believe. Those whom God saves will persevere to the end.

How I Live It Out:
I live in grateful response to God’s mercy. I share the good news with others, not from obligation, but out of love—because Jesus changed my life, and I believe He can change theirs too.

Scripture:
“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God.” – Ephesians 2:8 (ESV)
“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” – Romans 10:9 (ESV)

  1. The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit

What I Believe:
The Holy Spirit indwells every believer at conversion, guiding us into truth, producing spiritual fruit, empowering us for godly living, and equipping us with spiritual gifts for service in the Church and witness to the world.

How I Live It Out:
I seek to walk in step with the Spirit daily—through prayer, worship, Scripture, obedience, and service. I depend on His power, not my own strength, to fulfill God’s calling.

Scripture:
“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.” – John 14:26 (ESV)

  1. The Church and Its Mission

What I Believe:
The Church is the body of Christ made up of baptized believers who covenant together to worship God, grow in Christ, serve one another, and proclaim the gospel. It is God’s plan for making disciples and advancing His Kingdom. I affirm a complementarian view of leadership, in which men and women serve in their God-given roles and qualified men serve as elders/pastors.

How I Live It Out:
I serve in the local church through leadership, teaching, and mentoring. I disciple others and foster community, believing that every believer is called to serve and witness.

Scripture:
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations… teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” – Matthew 28:19–20 (ESV)

  1. Baptism and the Lord’s Supper

What I Believe:
I affirm believer’s baptism by immersion as a public act of obedience and a symbol of identification with Christ. The Lord’s Supper is a memorial of Christ’s sacrifice and a reminder of our unity and hope in His return.

How I Live It Out:
I participate in these ordinances with reverence and joy, honoring the work of Christ and encouraging others to do the same as part of the body.

Scripture:
“We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead… we too might walk in newness of life.” – Romans 6:4 (ESV)
“Do this in remembrance of me.” – Luke 22:19 (ESV)

  1. The Kingdom and Return of Christ

What I Believe:
God’s Kingdom is present now through the reign of Christ in the hearts of believers and will be fully realized when Jesus returns to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the personal, visible return of Christ, the bodily resurrection, final judgment, and the reality of eternal life in heaven and eternal separation in hell.

How I Live It Out:
I live with a sense of urgency and hope, knowing this world is not our final home. I seek to live faithfully and point others to the hope we have in Christ’s return.

Scripture:
“He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and His kingdom will have no end.” – Revelation 22:12
“And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself.” – John 14:3 (ESV)

  1. Marriage and Family

What I Believe:
I believe God designed marriage as a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, intended to reflect the love of Christ and His Church. While God’s design is for lifelong faithfulness in marriage, I also recognize that we live in a fallen world where sin, brokenness, and relational failure occur. I affirm that God offers healing, forgiveness, and restoration to those affected by divorce. The family remains the foundational institution of human society, and I uphold the unique and complementary roles of husbands and wives as described in Scripture.

How I Live It Out:
Having personally experienced the pain of divorce and the grace of restoration, I approach marriage and family life with humility, reverence, and deep gratitude. I seek to lead my home in a way that reflects Christ’s sacrificial love, to model faith and grace to my children and others, and to honor God’s design through my current marriage. I also offer compassion and counsel to those navigating relational wounds, always pointing them to the redemptive power of the gospel.

Scripture:
“Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.” – Genesis 2:24 (ESV)
“Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.” – Ephesians 5:25 (ESV)
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” – Psalm 147:3 (ESV)

  1. Stewardship and Discipleship

What I Believe:
God is the source of all we have, and we are called to be faithful stewards of our time, talents, and resources. Every believer is called to grow as a disciple and help others do the same.

How I Live It Out:
I strive to live generously, serve sacrificially, and make disciples in everyday life. I believe in multiplying leaders and encouraging others to walk in their God-given calling.

Scripture:
“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.” – 1 Peter 4:10 (ESV)
